This is Our Own Story

“In the heart of every girl lies a story waiting to be told.” Boy-O (Book of Your Own) was born from a powerful moment—when my 7-year-old niece struggled to reclaim her confidence after a bully’s taunt dimmed her sense of power.
Together, we set out on a journey to help her rediscover her strength through the stories she adored. We combed through her favorite fairy tales, the lyrics she sang, and the shows she watched, only to realize they echoed the very disempowerment she was trying to overcome.
“So, we decided to ‘Bounce Back, Flip the Script, and Change the Story.’ Through the power of storytelling, she transformed her once-timid voice into one of triumph—writing the book Robynhood: Believe It’s Possible at just 7 years old.”
At 81 years young, Joyce Eatman took the same leap of faith. With courage—and help from our team—she became the first shining star of our Women’s Boy-O program.
Her story, like delicate lace woven over time, is a testament to resilience, wisdom, and self-belief. Through eight decades of experiences, challenges, and triumphs, she turned her life’s journey into a book, proving that storytelling has no age limit.
She showed us all that it’s never too late to start, but it’s always too late to wait. Whether you’re 7 or 81, your story matters—and it deserves to be told.
